The SURJ Book Club meets to read and discuss books that address racial justice. On Zoom, we check in at the beginning, take the first hour to read on our own and discuss the book for the second hour.

We will be getting to the end of The Color Purple by Alice Walker.  While this is a fiction book it deals strongly with issues of race, colorism, and gender.  Even if you have read this beautiful book before this will be a fine opportunity to discuss and share your thoughts about it.

We will also be starting discussion on the next book to read, so welcome your input.
