We will continue to be reading the book Parable of the Talents by Octavia Butler. This is a fiction book but it deals with race and other timely issues.  I should note that this is the second book in a duology.  We felt this book was the most apt to today.  I do recommend reading Parable of the Sower on your own as it is also a wonderful book.

Our first hour will be for silent reading and our second hour will be for in-depth discussion of the book.
