On the 4th of July we’ll be joining young organizers from DeBug, Black Lives Matter SJ, and YouthHype to create a mural. There will also be a community BBQ honoring Anthony Nuñez who was only 18 years old when he was killed by San Jose Police on July 4th, 2016.

More details about the community barbecue:
The family and community of our much loved Anthony Nuñez invites you to this community barbecue, backpack giveaway and rap contest (cuz he could flow!) on Saturday, July 4, 10am at Backesto Park. His fam @cookin_qpon_sandy @justiceforanthonynunez @1raiderfan68 @dj_rhino_g wanted to honor the generosity of his spirit and wanted the entire community to know the kind of young man we know him to be: sweet, funny, talented and generous. Right before that, come join the #blacklivesmatter art action organized by the neighborhood starting at 8am! That’s bout to be epic and powerful!!!! So come honor the #thefourthofyoulie with the community and family who believe in true liberation!
