Our partners in Race, Equity and Community Safety (RECS) and Sacred Heart Community Service are asking us to join them in public comment at the study session in the San Jose City Council meeting on Tuesday May 10th starting at 6pm:
“If you believe that racial justice is a priority for our community, please show up and be heard.
Over the last 2 years Sacred Heart has helped lead the efforts to get to this milestone, the opportunity to present to the San José City Council a comprehensive set of community-driven policy recommendations to re-imagine our approach to public safety in our community.
The RiPS report explores more effective, efficient, and equitable strategies that can be deployed to address emergent crises and promote better social conditions that can make our community safer.
With your support the Council will hear that we have not forgotten. 715 days will have passed since the murder of George Floyd. We remember.”
