Join the Fight

In this online "House Party", members of SURJ @ Sacred Heart (the San José chapter of Showing Up for Racial Justice) will provide history and context around the current Amah Mutsun Tribal Band's fight to Protect Juristac, their home and most sacred land, from destruction as a gravel mine. During the 90 minute presentation, participants will learn, reflect and take action together to support local Indigenous rights, and environmental protection. Perfect for those interested in taking tangible steps toward decolonization, environmental and racial justice in the South Bay. This presentation has been reviewed and approved by Amah Mutsun Tribal Band Chairman Valentine Lopez, Green Foothills, and was developed based on the Juristac Sacred Grounds presentation by South Bay Indigenous Solidarity.
