AHUMC Invites You to Join our Informational Forum to Protect Juristac
In this online educational forum, members of SURJ @ Sacred Heart (the San José chapter of Showing Up for Racial Justice) will provide history and context around the current Amah Mutsun Tribal Band's fight to protect their sacred Juristac lands from destruction. We will also hear from our JYM Youth and their perspectives learned from their Yakama Mission trip. During this presentation participants will hear about the 403-acre gravel pit that is being proposed on this land and its impact on both the tribe and the environment. The proposal comes before our county supervisors on September 26th.
