Protect Juristac at Palo Alto City Council

  • Palo Alto City Hall Council Chambers 250 Hamilton Avenue Palo Alto, CA, 94301 United States (map)

Tonight, Monday December 2, Palo Alto City Council will hear a resolution to protect Juristac, a sacred site of the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band located in south Santa Clara County. This marks another step forward for our accountability partners at the Amah Mutsun Land Trust in their years-long campaign to protect culturally and ecologically important lands at Juristac from being destroyed by a sand and gravel mine.

Please join us at Palo Alto City Council tonight, Monday, December 2 at 7:45pm to show community support for the resolution and share space with members of the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band and their allies.

The resolution will be heard between 8:00-10:00pm, and you can sign up here for day-of updates on timing.

The address is 250 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94301. There is free parking underneath the building, and it is a 5-minute walk from the Palo Alto/University Avenue Caltrain station. Agenda details are here.
