Tuesday we head to City Hall again with our signs as they vote on the budget. Please try to arrive at City Hall by 1:15pm in case there is a line to get through security. Wear your SURJ t-shirt if you have one and pick up one of our signs. For more information, check out this document. Please also call and email your councilmembers before 1:30pm. We do not know if we have the 6 votes we need to win, which is why YOUR voice matters.

Monday night was a special meeting specifically for hearing from the public about the budget.  Tuesday at their regular meeting is when they actually VOTE on the budget.  There will be very limited public comment on Tuesday, and no one who spoke on Monday night will be allowed to speak again.  That is why we turned out full force on Monday.  However, if you can come on Tuesday afternoon just to carry signs, it will be good to have some of us there to show we are watching (please let me know if you can make it). ;)  Tuesday is when we will learn what their decision is.
