We invite you to our Indigenous Solidarity Issue Group Meeting (ISIG) being held on Zoom at 7pm on Tuesday, June 10th.
Our group’s focus includes:
supporting our accountability partners the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band and Amah Mutsun Land Trust in their campaign to Protect Juristac and
helping each other learn about decolonization practices as we work together to build a better future in our communities.
SURJ is a nationwide network, and we believe, “It is white people’s responsibility to educate ourselves about systemic, institutional, and interpersonal racism. It is also white people’s responsibility to excavate our own personal legacy of racism. More centrally, it is white people’s responsibility to organize other white people to dismantle white supremacy, because it is white people who historically and still today benefit from white supremacy.” That also includes unpacking and dismantling colonial mindsets that we’ve been steeped in for a long time.
We’d love to be in community with you at our next meeting if you are able to attend on Zoom.
RSVP here if you plan to join our virtual meeting on Tuesday, June 10th
