Organizer adrienne maree brown says “relationships are everything.” Organizer Ed Chambers says “one-to-one relational meetings are the glue that brings people together…to create connection, confrontation, and an exchange of talent and energy, eventually leading to some kind of joint action.” Here at our SURJ chapter we say, “relationships are what keep us in the work when the white heat of our outrage has subsided.”

Join us once a month and be partnered with another SURJer for a community building one-to-one conversation (what organizers call a “relational meeting.”) We will hold these events on the 4th Wednesday of each month. This month’s event will be in person at Viva Parks in Hillview Park. We will meet for one to ones at Hillview Park (just northwest of Reid Hillview Airport) at Adrian Way and Ocala Avenue, San Jose CA 95122.

SURJers will be meeting from 7 to 8. Register here to be paired with another SURJ member or just show up on Wednesday and look for the SURJ banner and red SURJ shirts. We’ll provide blankets but bring a lawn chair (and a spare) if you desire.  Viva Parks runs from 6 to 8pm so come early to enjoy vendors.
