The draft Environmental Impact Report for the Sargent Ranch proposed mining project is supposed to be release by the county on July 15th. The Planning Commission will be hearing public comment about that project on August 25th starting at 1:30pm. SURJ will be showing up to make public comment, in solidarity with the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band. The agenda will be posted at this link a week before the August 25th meeting. The Planning Commission will NOT be voting that day; nonetheless this is a crucial opportunity for us to show up in solidarity with our accountability partner.
