SURJ Book Club

  • Snake and Butterfly 191 East Campbell Avenue Campbell, CA, 95008 United States (map)

Our next book reading will be Sunday, January 27th at the Snake and Butterfly in Campbell.  The time will be 1-3 pm with the first hour for reading and the second for in-depth discussion and commiseration.

We are reading White Fragility: Why It's So Hard For White People To Talk About Racism by Robin Diangelo. At our last meeting we made it to page 24 and are ready to begin Whiteness As a Position of Status.  Feel free to catch up if you could not make it to last session.  You do not need to have been there to join us on Sunday.  You can read at home and join in on any session.

Snake and Butterfly does not serve food so feel free to bring lunch.  But please support our friends by buying coffee or chocolate.  Both are wonderful.

The coffee is good, the reading good and the company is good.  There is no reason not to come.
