The Art Working Group deals with all things creative in the service of dismantling white supremacy and covers not just the visual arts but also theater and music and craft and writing and just about every other creative endeavor you can think of. Come help us plan our ongoing series of fundraising workshops for creative skills and community building called Cover Charge for Justice. We will debrief SURJ’s first ever Open Mic Night on Friday October 25th from 6:30-8:30pm in the Learning Center at Sacred Heart Community Service and plan additional Cover Charge for Justice workshops in the hopper: anti-racist wrapping paper and gift screenprinting, social justice collage, and anti-racist embroidery. You do not have to identify as an artist to join the Art Working Group! :)
