Join SURJ at Sacred Heart on September 12th, 2020 from 5pm-7:30pm for a movie screening and engaging discussion of When They See Us Episode 1 over Zoom. When They See Us is a four part series that tells the true story of five Black and Latinx teenage boys, from the moment they are falsely accused of a raping a white woman, to their widely publicized trial and experience in prison. We will discuss the episode in breakout discussion rooms and provide actionable steps to support the abolition of police in local South Bay schools.
