All of the organizing committees at Sacred Heart Community Service are building an altar together for Dia de Los Muertos and doing outreach for our campaigns during the Avenida de Altares event. If you have never been, this is an amazing evening of music and culture that starts at the Mexican Heritage Plaza and continues along Alum Rock Avenue between King Rd and Highway 101. The Power & Organizing at Sacred Heart Community Service altar will be located in front of Red Rock Western Wear. We will need help with altar construction earlier in the day, as well as help with tabling during the event itself (in 1-2 hour shifts, so that folks can also attend the event).
